US I Honors Field Trip to Philadelphia

On March 14th the US I Honors class took a field trip to Philadelphia. The first stop of the trip took place at the NBC 10 News Studio. The students had the opportunity to take a tour of the studio. During the tour they met and heard from news producers, writers, and anchors where they learned more about the news industry and internship opportunities. Students were able to see a live news room, news studio, and the digital operations center.

Afterwards the students visited the Museum of the American Revolution. They were led on a guided tour through the museum as they deepened their understanding of the war. Starting from the animosity from the Seven Years War, the rebellion over taxes, the Declaration of Independence, the unification of the colonies in order to defeat the British, and the beginning of a new nation.
