S.A.I.L. Program Awarded $1,000 by BE FEARLESS BE KIND Grant!

The S.A.I.L. program was awarded the Youth Service America $1000 BE FEARLESS BE KIND GRANT this November. The grant will be used for the S.A.I.L. and Middle School SGO Dance-A-Thon for Charity. This grant supports the Kindness Rising Campaign, which calls on youth to BE FEARLESS and BE KIND by standing up for others, being inclusive and making a difference. Through service projects or kind acts, young people develop empathy, learn powerful life skills and can be catalysts to keep Kindness Rising.

The Kindness Rising campaign is powered by YSA (Youth Service America) #LeadASAP initiative. "We are very fortunate to have students that make it their daily mission to do the right thing, be kind to one another and to show empathy and compassion. The Dance-A-Thon is another opportunity for them to work as a team and promote working towards a cause. I am honored that in all of the grant applications received, our school's program stood out. The kids deserve this recognition for their commitment to service and all of their hard work, not only for their efforts in the Dance-A-Thon, but for their efforts all year long." stated Miss Lee.
