SHS Takes 5th Consecutive Hudson County Consumer Bowl Title!

The Secaucus High School Consumer Bowl Team has captured its 5th consecutive championship in the Hudson County competition of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs Consumer Bowl.  The New Jersey High School Consumer Bowl is an educational competition for high school students across the state meant to educate young adults on a variety of consumer and business issues.  

The competition took place on Tuesday January 23, 2017 at Dickinson High School in Jersey City. The Hudson County Teams that participated were Secaucus HS, High Tech HS, Liberty HS, County Prep HS and Dickinson HS. Our Secaucus team defeated Dickinson HS & Liberty HS (Jersey City) in Round 1 and went on to defeat High Tech HS (North Bergen) in the Finals. The SHS team will go on to the Northern Regional Competition, which will take place on April 7, 2017.

This year’s team consists of Senior Captain Kaitlyn O’Connell, Junior Kendryck Ceballos, Senior Zishan Patel, Senior David Perez, and Senior Nader Alkhabbaz. The Business Club/Consumer Bowl advisor is Ms. Alexis Chisari, Business and Technology Teacher at Secaucus High School.
