Governor's Educator of the Year !!

Congratulations to Mrs. Allison Urbanovich on being selected as being the 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year at Secaucus High School.
Mrs. Allison Urbanovich is a graduate of Rutgers University where she completed a bachelor's degree in History. She then earned her M.A.T. in Special Education and Supervision from New Jersey City University. She was hired in 2004 by the Secaucus Public School District, and has been teaching at Secaucus High School for the past 11 years.

Throughout Mrs. Urbanovich’s career she has worked in both the Social Studies department teaching grades 9-12 and in the Special Education department Extended School Year program. She served as the advisor for the Class of 2009 and the Student Government Organization. Over the years, she has taken an active role in writing departmental curricula, was a member of the Excellent Educators for New Jersey District Evaluation Committee, and a presenter for the Bullying Prevention Institute Committee. Mrs. Urbanovich is currently the advisor for the Peer Leadership Club and ROOTS, a member of the School Improvement Panel (ScIP), facilitates the High School Building Mentoring Program and is the Corresponding Secretary for the Secaucus Education Association.

Mrs. Urbanovich resides in Rutherford with her husband, Nick and her two sons, JT and Nicholas.
