Congratulations to our Valedictorian and Salutatorian!

Krushay Bhavsar
Congratulation to Krushay for being named the Secaucus High School class of 2023 Valedictorian with an impressive 4.851 grade point average. In addition to excelling academically, Krushay is also involved in many extra curricular activities and leadership positions such as President of the Robotics Club, Interim Vice President of Junior State of America, Director of Technology, and the Vice President of the National Honor Society.  Krushay has participated on the Varsity Cross Country team. He was awarded the AP Scholar with Distinction award, which is an average score of a 3.5 or higher on 5 or more Advanced Placement exams. Krushay worked as a software developer at Harvard Education start-up company called Mission Mentor. He was able to work on a website using an artificial intelligence algorithm to recommend scholarships, summer programs, and the next step in a student's academic career based on demographics and accomplishments. Krushay received the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award for creating My Fine Mind with his sister and cousin. This non-profit organization fundraisers and donates school supplies to underprivileged towns and countries founded through homeless shelters. Krushay will be attending Georgia Tech in September.
 
 
Ayush Agarwal
Congratulation to Ayush who has been named the Secaucus High School Class of 2023 Salutatorian with an impressive 4.841 grade point average. He is a very mature young man that is willing to put in the time and effort to excel at subject areas that interest him. Ayush is very driven and passionate about computer science. He has put in so much of his own time to excel in the subject matter. Ayush was nominated to attend the New Jersey Governor’s School of Engineering and Technology. During his time there, he implemented a transformer for audio source separation. The project was presented at MIT URTC 2022. Ayush was also accepted into the Columbia University Science honors program where he completed advanced courses in mathematics and science. In addition to having a great amount of experience and knowledge about computer science, Ayush has been involved with the school community. He has participated in the band since he was in the 4th grade, is on the varsity tennis and indoor track teams, and also volunteers his time to tutor his peers. He is always willing to help those around him, especially by volunteering his time at freshmen/new student orientation. Ayush will be attending Georgia Tech in September.
